Unlocking the Power of AI: The Role of Prompts in Effective
                                      Communication In Education

       2. Include Learning Objectives
        Example:
“Create exercises to help students understand the concept of decimals and apply them in real-life contexts.”
       * Aligning prompts with curriculum goals ensures the material is purposeful.

        3. State the Format You Need
Clarify the output: worksheet, quiz, slides, summary, group task, etc.
       Example:
“Design a printable worksheet with 10 multiple-choice questions on animal classification for Grade 4.” "Or
generate multiple choices questions with answers on decimals and fractions for Grade 10".
        4. Mention the Age or Grade Level
Tailoring content to age group ensures it's developmentally appropriate.
        Example:
“Explain the water cycle in simple terms for Grade 3 students using a diagram.”

       5. Use Bloom’s Taxonomy for Higher-Order Thinking
Prompt AI to generate tasks like:
“Create analysis questions on Romeo and Juliet for senior secondary school students.”
“Design an evaluation-based group project on climate change.”
        6. Set Constraints When Needed
Time, number of items, or resources.
        Example:
“Generate a 20-minute classroom debate topic with guiding questions for senior students.”

        7. Leverage Multimodal Requests
Request different media types (text, image, video).
       Example:
“Suggest a short YouTube video and follow-up activities for teaching the human digestive system.”

       8. Ask for Differentiation
        Include diverse learners:
“Provide a reading passage on renewable energy with simplified and advanced versions.”

       9. Request Interactivity
        Example:

“Create a hands-on science experiment for teaching states of matter to 8–10-year-olds.”

       10. Refine and Iterate
After the first response, follow up with:
        “Make it more visual.”
        “Add a short quiz.”
        “Include real-world examples.”
In summary, prompts are not just questions—they are tools of direction. As AI continues to
integrate into daily work and learning, mastering the art of prompt creation will be a crucial
digital literacy skill for the future.
