Page 23 - Granite Group - 2022 Colleague Engagement Survey
P. 23
Key observations
This section produced an overwhelmingly positive response.
90% agreed that their manager encourages open and honest conversation. All other questions in the section also received very favourable responses.
This was the section with the most positive comments added, colleagues took the opportunity to praise their team leaders and managers for their ongoing support, encouragement and direction.
There were a few negative responses in this section, but they were empathising with the amount of time managers lose due to dealing with systems and processes and how much pressure they are under.
Key observations
This was our lowest scoring section. 53% understand our ambitions for the future and 43% know what the business plan is to make us a better organisation.
While 67% said they were happy staying where they are, 33% are seriously considering leaving in the near future.
Responses demonstrated that our colleagues enjoy working here, but in the current climate, there is a feeling of financial insecurity.
What we aim to celebrate
We are delighted that most of you feel a good rapport with your manager.
We will continue to invest in our managers to support and appreciate them for all that they do for you, our customers and the business. We would also encourage you to show your appreciation of your managers through the Perkbox celebration tool.
What we are doing
Beyond the pay increases and a review of our benefits package referenced earlier, to tackle the rising cost of
living, we are looking to widen out our communication so you’ll hear more about what is going on across the group and how we are performing.
We have been growing successfully and perhaps have been keeping this too much of a secret...
