SKILLED NURSING
A skilled nursing facility provides nursing, personal, custodial, and rehabili-
tative care. Skilled nursing facilities, sometimes called nursing homes, are
freestanding, which means they are not part of a hospital. Skilled nursing
facilities are licensed and surveyed by the State of Florida.
Many facilities provide special services such as adult day care,
respite care, Alzheimer's/memory care, ventilator or tracheotomy care,
dialysis, pediatric, pet therapy, 24-hour RN, Eden Alternative, yoga,
water therapy, weight training, HIV or hospice. Please inquire as to
any special services you require at each facility.
