The Talbot on Granby’s
Vicki Hartway chats
with resident

Vicki Hartway has become
the new Executive Director
of The Talbot On Granby in Norfolk. Vicki credits her grandmother, a
nurse supervisor at Vanderbilt Hospital, with inspiring her to seek a career
in the healthcare field. She began her career in 1995 as a Certified Nurs-
ing Assistant at a senior community in Nashville, Tennessee where both of
her grandmothers were residents. In 2007, Vicki graduated from Covenant
College in Georgia with a degree in Organizational Management. Vicki
became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 2009 and relocated to
Arizona to take a position as Administrator there. In 2015 she relocated
her family to Virginia and recently accepted the position of Executive
Director at The Talbot On Granby in November. Vicki tells Senior Living
Guide that she has found her forever home! “The residents are my most
favorite people! I love the independent living setting,” she says. Her resi-
dents are very active and happy which in turn gives her great satisfaction.
