Resa Overstreet-Strunge
Resa has been in the healthcare industry for over 15 years working in assisted living and in memory
care. She attended Elon College where she studied Elementary Education K-12 with
specializations in Early Childhood and Child Psychology. When a friend and mentor suggested she
explore working with the elderly, Resa recognized right away that the passion and love she felt for
children also extended to the elderly, especially those living with dementia. She continually assists
with fundraisers for Alzheimer’s disease as well as other types of dementia, specifically lending her
time and energy whenever called upon. She volunteers regularly for a number of special programs involving research and
studies on dementia.
At Seasons at Southpoint in Durham, Resa is able, on a daily basis, to reach out to and guide families in their journey
living with dementia. “The excellent, compassionate, and thoughtful care provided by our team, coupled with the
individualized and creative programming through our Bridge to Rediscovery, fill me with joy
and confirm my decision to serve the elderly.”
