SEVILLE – Hotel Alfonso XIII: Commissioned by
King Alfonso XIII of Spain to house VIP guests at the
Ibero-American Exposition in 1928, the hotel has been
the place to stay for royalty, heads of state, and the like
for decades. Today, a 5-star luxury hotel, its
distinctive Mudéjar-style architecture and wonderful
old-world charm features gardens surrounding a
typical Sevillian inner courtyard with a fountain. The
151 guestrooms are all beautifully appointed in
Moorish, Castilian, or Andalusian style, with classic-
contemporary furnishings, restored antiques, marble floors, and silk-covered walls. There’s also
a pool. Located in the heart of Seville, the hotel is a stone’s throw from the Alcazar palace, the
Cathedral, Giralda and the Plaza de Espana. http://www.hotel-alfonsoxiii-seville.com/
MADRID – Hotel Orfila: Orfila is one of Madrid’s top luxury hotels, and it’s easy to see why
th
as soon as you step into the lobby. 19 -century
furnishings have been sourced from all around
Europe, giving the property a distinctly historic,
upscale feel. There are just 32 rooms at Orfila, each
as well-appointed as you’d expect from a hotel with
so much attention to detail. The on-site restaurant is
excellent (with a great selection of wine, we might
add), and you’ll also find an ornate tea room and
quiet garden, perfect for relaxing away from the
hustle and bustle of Madrid. This is a truly lovely
property and a consistent client favorite. http://www.hotelorfila.com/Index.aspx
