I. WELL-DEFINED OBJECTIVES
The underpin Ifugao State University’s (IFSU) vision – “A globally recognized
university upholding excellence amidst rich cultural heritage” summarized the aspiration
to advance IFSU in the international arena while promoting and sustaining cultural identity
and heritage. Indeed, the University’s vision articulates to establish role through excellent
services in instruction, research and extension and quality specialized products.
There are four (4) goals of IFSU to realize the Vision and to accomplish the

Mission. The 3 goal speaks on Sustainable Extension and Community Engagement
which has the following objectives:
• To package and transfer knowledge and technologies relevant to the needs
of the clientele
• To create a widely shared organizational culture that encourages,
promotes, and rewards extension and community engagements
• To establish/Strengthen/ Sustain linkages with LGUs, industries, and other
organizations/stakeholders for resource sharing, extension program, and
service complementation
The achievement the cited objectives is being strategized using the SWOT
Analysis presented in the 8-Year Strategic Plan (2019-2026). The SWOT analysis
presented the internal and external environments of the University leading to the specific
goals and objectives which are necessary to realize the vision and accomplish the
mission. The analysis is based form the identified Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities
and Threats (SWOT) as follows:
