After 1941 some of the buildings became ESF property,
but eventually most of them were torn down. Many aspects of
the former camp and related sites still exist on the Huntington
Wild Life Forest, which comprises SUNY-ESF’s Newcomb Cam-
pus. The Newcomb Campus is private property and visitation
without permission is prohibited. People are not allowed to
just stop by for a visit and look. ESF staff do provide guided
tours of the major CCC sites and projects on a semi-regular ba-
sis. If you are interested in one of these tours please get in
touch with AARCH or the Newcomb Historical for more infor-
mation.
