J12s/Novices are invitied to join the boat club and try rowing. This is one of the school’s most dynamic clubs and novices are offered a reduced timetable to introduce them to the sport of rowing.

J13s continue to build on prior knowledge where sculling is the focus. There are a few events over the season where girls are encouraged to participate. New girls to the Lower 4 are offered a fast-track system which enables them to catch up to those who have been rowing for a year.

Cost £290.00 per term
This is the first opportunity for girls to compete at a national standard. Headington has a great reputation in the UK as a leading rowing school and the J14 squad is the basis of this programme. Girls new to Headington in the Upper 4 are offered a fast-track programme to enable them to join the rest of the squad by october half term.

Year Group L5-U6 | Term All Year Cost £290.00 per term
The J15s/J16s/Seniors are the rowing elite, with girls competing at a national standard and many members going on to GB trials. There is a comprehensive training programme and schedule which is carefully balanced against the girls’ academic commitments.
