Early drop-off and After school Care
Early drop-off
To best cater to our parents’ needs, girls can arrive from 7.45 am and will wait in the Dining Room with staff members until they can go into their classroom at 8.30 am.
After school Care
After School Care is available between the end of the school day and 6.00 pm for working parents. For the 2018/2019 academic year, the charges are £11 per session for regular users and £13 per session for occasional users. Children not collected by 3.40 pm for Early Years Foundation Stage, 3.45 pm for Key Stage 1 and 3.50 pm for Key Stage 2 are automatically booked into After School Care and parents will be charged accordingly.
To use After Care on an occasional basis, please book your child in by 8.45 am on the appropriate day. If you are a regular user, it is not possible to exchange your regular day for another in the same week but your child can attend on another day as an occasional user. If you wish to cancel your child’s attendance on a particular day, please let the School Office know by 12.00 pm noon on the day so that you will not be charged for the session.
After School Care is an integral part of the School, catering for approximately 50 children each day. After Care is run by an After Care Supervisor with a small team of assistants. The children take part in planned activities and there are plenty of games and resources for them to use. In the Summer Term, the school grounds are also used. Girls from Year 3 upwards are able to do their homework in the library. At 4.00 pm the children are given a tea of sandwiches, fruit and squash.
When school ends at 12.30 pm at the end of term, After School Care is provided from 12.30 pm until 3.30 pm. For 2018/2019, the charge for this session is £26.
Collection Arrangements
We expect all children to be collected by 6.00 pm. If your child has not been picked up by that time, an additional charge of £14 for a part of every 15 minutes thereafter will be incurred. If parents
are unexpectedly delayed, we ask that they please contact Reception on 01865 759400 to let us know. Habitual late collection will regrettably result in parents being asked to make alternative arrangements for their children after school.
The School asks parents to provide written authorisation if they wish someone else to collect their child/ children from After School Care on their behalf. This authorisation may be for any number of people who are likely to collect on their behalf in the future.
In addition, the After School Care team must also be informed when collection arrangements are changed by emailing reception@headington.org or calling 01865 759400. We also ask all authorised persons to sign children out of After School Care and the time of departure is recorded by the After School Care staff.
