Development Initiatives
The Development Office plays an important role in bringing the School’s wider community together and promoting a life-long connection with Headington, particularly to alumnae through the work of the Headingtonians and to the wider School community via the Headington Association.
Over recent years, parents, alumnae, staff, governors and other friends have contributed generously to Headington School by giving their time and expertise, or a financial gift. Their support is having a real difference at Headington, most recently providing the Dance and Fitness Centre as well as the award-winning Library at the Senior School.
In April 2016 the School launched the Centenary Campaign, to building on the successes of the past. The Centenary Campaign will aim to enhance our academic and creative subjects, our bursary programme and our co-curricular facilities. The Prep School playground has recently been updated as part of this Campaign.
A careers mentoring programme provides a valuable context for supporting girls and young alumnae and fostering an enduring connection with them.
Foundation Day
The Summer Term ends with Foundation Day, which takes place on a Saturday. There is a combined service in school for the Prep and Senior Schools in the morning and activities on the field in the afternoon.
Foundation Day is considered to be officially the last day of the term and all girls in Key Stages 1 and 2 are expected to attend.
