HEALTH & WELLBEING
 Healthy lifestyle
Your health and welfare are at the heart of Headington’s success and making healthy choices is part of taking a mature role in the adult world Your healthy mind must be sustained by a healthy body, which is why it is vital that you take regular exercise, including your school PE lessons and we hope you will take full advantage of the Dance and Fitness Centre too When using the Centre, you must wear appropriate clothing for the gym, be in groups of at least three girls and check that there is a member of staff in the building You cannot do weights unless there is a member of staff supervising you in the room
Alcohol and smoking are of course banned in school In your PSHE classes you will continue to interrogate the risks and dangers associated with alcohol, smoking and other harmful substances The Headington School campus is a non-smoking area and any girl who smokes within sight of the School risks suspension Our aim is for you to develop a holistic sense of how to make the best choices to ensure that you live a healthy life Any girl who breaches the School’s rules relating to smoking, alcohol and drugs can expect to face the consequences, in accordance with the School’s policy
Wellbeing
Your wellbeing is hugely important to us As well as making sure you have lots of opportunity to talk to your form tutor or co-tutor, counsellors, chaplain, any other member of staff or your peers, we have designed Headington VI with your wellbeing in mind We have created areas specifically designed for relaxation and socialising, as well as ones which provide a calm, peaceful and quiet environment to allow you to concentrate on your work free from distractions
