THE HEADINGTONIAN 2017
ANYTHING GOES
In the spirit of the Year of Performing Arts, Headington put on its first musical, Anything Goes, combining the Dance, Drama and Music Departments, and directed by Miss Neale. As it was our
first musical we were all very excited to take part and after the audition process a total of 73 girls were selected to be involved in the musical and its production. As actors, the rehearsal process
was hard work but very rewarding and Miss Neale helped us bring our performance to its fullest realisation. The play also meant that we mixed with other year groups and after a term of bonding we can all say that we have formed friendships that we wouldn’t have without ‘Anything Goes’. Miss Neale not only directed the play but also created a Wardrobe Club for those who were interested in costume and make-up to gain experience and the opportunity to create, source and amend costumes for the entire cast. The production was a roaring success and a fitting farewell to Mr Hutchings. Here’s to the next show!
