Meet our Board Chair
Welcome, and thank you for joining us this evening to honor and celebrate the heroes in our community. As Board Chair of the Douglas County Community Foundation (DCCF), it is my privilege to welcome you to our third annual Heroes Gala.
This evening, you have met many of those on the
front lines who work tirelessly to make Douglas
County a safe place to call home. You will also
hear inspiring stories of bravery as we honor those
who are passionate about our community and
extraordinary in the ways they serve. And, you will have an opportunity to participate financially in very meaningful ways, ensuring that your contributions are maximized and accessible to those who need it most, when they need it most.
To our Presenting Sponsor, Sterling Ranch, and the many generous corporate and municipal partners, thank you for making this event possible. We are especially grateful to the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners for matching up to $200,000 of funds raised from this event to support the Community Emergency Relief Fund (see page 13).
To the DCCF Board past and present, I extend my deepest gratitude for your talents, service and creative ways you support the Foundation. DCCF has never been stronger, and we keep improving and increasing the impact in our community. And last, but not least, thank you to our Executive Director Kirsten Swanson-Moore, our Director of Operations Monica Wasden, and our event chair Marco Fields for your infinite energy and countless hours to make this evening seamless, spectacular and enjoyable.

Every charitable organization depends on its volunteers, and we thank ours for all that they have done tonight and continue to do in service throughout the year. Special thanks to Shawn Mack & Dylan Byers with Signature Aviation for their unwaivering support.
This milestone celebration continues to evolve and impress each year. Having witnessed this event over the past three years, I can confidently say that tonight’s gathering stands as proof of our collective efforts and the heartfelt support of our community heroes. Once again, the extraordinary men and women who commit their
lives to protecting and serving Douglas County have transformed the Heroes Gala from a simple gathering into something extraordinary—a powerful celebration honoring service and sacrifice.
