Live Auction – Badge of Honor – Law Enforcement
DAY ONE: SWAT Team, Half-Day Experience – You and up to three (3) guests will enjoy a half-day with the Douglas County SWAT Team.You will have the opportunity to observe specialized tactical training and equipment. The Douglas County SWAT Team trains on the first and third Wednesday of every month and will work with you to schedule a training that is best for your schedule. Enjoy lunch with DCSO Under Sheriff Jason Kennedy.
DAY ONE: Training Simulator, Two-Hour Experience – Law Enforcement Training Simulator (shoot/don’t shoot). You and up to three (3) guests will spend two hours with a firearms instructor from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at the Highlands Ranch Law Enforcement Training Facility. While at the facility, you and your guests will experience firsthand interactive training utilizing modified semi-automatic handguns on a law enforcement firearms simulator. You will be placed into a cinematic training environment, where you will encounter situations that law enforcement face in the real world, something very few people outside of law enforcement ever get the chance to experience!
DAY TWO: K9 Unit, Half-Day Experience – You and up to three (3) guests will enjoy a half-day with the K9 Unit and experience some of the training they do weekly. This includes interaction with the K-9s, obedience training, as well as searches for simulated suspects. Enjoy lunch with DCSO Sheriff Darren Weekly.
DAY TWO: Bomb Team, Half-Day Experience – You and up to three (3) guests will enjoy a half-day as a bomb technician. You will have the opportunity to wear the bomb suit, take and analyze x-rays of IEDs, operate the bomb squad robot, learn other responsibilities, and yes, blow stuff up!

Driving Training, Half-Day Experience – The winner and one guest will spend a half day with a driving instructor from the DCSO at the Emergency Vehicle Operation Training Center in Littleton. While at the facility, you and your guest will experience firsthand the training that our law enforcement professionals attend every year. You may receive training that consists of moderate speed driving skills, vehicle dynamics and limitations, and backing techniques to name a few.
Ride-a-Long, Full Day Experience – The winner will enjoy a Ride Along with a Douglas County Sheriff's Office deputy. You will have the opportunity to ride alongside the deputy in the patrol car for a full 10-hour shift of your choosing. You will get to see everything that deputies see during a typical workday.
