Pet Policy
As a reminder to all pet owners in the Village:
• Keep dogs on a leash and under direct control at all times
when not on your property.
• Clean up after your pets; there are mutt mitt receptacles
located throughout the Village for your convenience.
• Emergency Services may issue a Notice of Violation if they
observe a dog off leash or if a violation is reported.
If you are interested in connecting with a teenager in the community to walk your pet or pet sit for you, see pages 151- 152 of this directory in the “Village Kids” tab.
Dog Parks
Douglas County offers several off-leash areas for your canine companions, including: • Bayou Gulch Regional Park, 4815 Fox Sparrow Rd, Parker, CO 80134
• USMC CPL David M. Sonka Dog Park and Westcreek Disc Golf Course, 17855

• Fairgrounds Regional Park, 500 Fairgrounds Rd, Castle Rock, CO 80104
• Glendale Farm Open Space Trail (Surrey Ridge), 12300 S Havana St, Castle Rock,
CO 80108
• Greenland Open Space/Devon’s Dog Park, 1532 E Noe Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118
Other off-leash dog areas in the County that are maintained by other entities are the Chatfield State Parks off-leash dog areas, David A. Lorenz Regional Park Bark Park, and four off-leash areas in Highlands Ranch.
Pet waste removal bags are provided at each location. Dogs are allowed off leash only in designated areas. Dog parks are open one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset. For more information, call 303-660-7495.
Cutest Pet in the Pines
Every January, The
