VILLAGE CASTLE PINES GARDEN CLUB
The Village Castle Pines Garden Club was founded more than 30 years ago and currently has 190 members. The Club has four objectives: building friendships, gardening together, education, and philanthropy. Many members confirm that joining the Club was the number one way they met new people when they moved into the Village.
The Club hosts three “special” events during the year – an opening luncheon in September, a holiday brunch in December, and a fashion show and luncheon in May. During the summer months, the Garden Club enjoys Wine in the Garden parties hosted in the yards of our members, and The Summer Party, a catered event, held bi-annually.
The Club maintains two local gardens: the Tweet Kimball Memorial Garden at Cherokee Ranch & Castle, and Serenity Garden, a xeriscaping demonstration garden inside the Village. It also delivers monthly educational programs on a variety of topics related
to gardening, as well as other topics of common interests to members of the Club. It offers field trips, which range from local day trips to overnight trips at more distant destinations.
Philanthropy efforts include three fund-raising events each year to benefit local charities. Currently, the Club’s focus is on the Crisis Center and the Help & Hope Center. Occasionally, it supports a third charity. Whether you consider yourself a gardener or not, you will be welcomed by The Village Castle Pines Garden Club, “Where Friendships Bloom.”
