South Metro Fire Rescue
South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) provides initial response units to all hazard emergencies involving fires, medical situations, traffic accidents or hazardous materials. It serves The Village at Castle Pines from Station 39, located at 475 W. Happy Canyon Road.
SMFR engines are staffed with three or four firefighters and carry between 750 and 1,500 gallons of water. Several specialized brush engines, including one housed at Station 39, are used specifically to fight wildland fires.
SMFR offers a variety of community services, including: Emergency medical services; SMFR dispatch and emergency communications; code compliance; community engagement, activities and programs; life safety education; training/classes/courses; and car seat inspections.
