Board and Committees
The Homes Association five-person board of directors meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 8 am at the Homes Association office. All officers can be reached at admin@thevillagecastlepines.com.
There are 10 board-appointed committees comprised of resident volunteers and the CPHA staff. These committees play a vital role in community life and are a great way to meet fellow residents and enhance the community at the same time. There are many opportunities for homeowners to get involved and have an impact on policy and procedures.
Committees meet monthly at a scheduled date and time, and all committee meetings are held at the CPHA office. Check the online committee meeting calendar for potential schedule changes at www.thevillagecastlepines.com.
1. Design Review: The Design Review Committee (DRC) is a five-member committee responsible for the review and approval of all proposed improvements within the Village. All changes to the exterior of your home must first be approved by the Design Review Committee. This includes exterior lighting, play equipment such as swing sets and trampolines, new exterior paint colors, any additions or alterations to existing landscape and more. DRC applications are available online at www. thevillagecastlepines.com.
2. Emergency Services: The Emergency Services Committee helps to create a long-term vision for the community’s safety and emergency services and
provides oversight and feedback on the emergency services department operations and budget performance. Emergency Services can be reached at 303-688-6447.
3. Enforcement: The Enforcement Committee conducts
monthly hearings to determine whether alleged violations of the covenants
in Castle Pines Declaration and/or Association Rules and Regulations have occurred and, if so, impose sanctions including fines or other penalties on those in violation.
4. Forest Stewardship: The Forest Stewardship Committee works to better manage the stewardship of our forest and to reduce the fire hazards within the Village. Trees in the community are one of its greatest assets.
5. Technology: The Technology Committee creates and maintains a master technology plan for the CPHA. The Technology Committee works to assist the Board, other committees, and other related groups in making critical decisions where there are processes that require technological solutions.
6. Long Range Planning & Finance: The Long Range Planning & Finance Committee is charged with oversight of both current and long-term budgeting and spending in the Village.
