IT Digital
Intro from Jeff
The NHS has made huge advances in recent years to improve patient care using new technology From electronic records and referrals to devices that patients can wear to help to track their health, technology is helping transform the way hospitals and community services care for patients.
Although Candi have invested in technology we know some staff are frustrated with the current ICT environment.
This is mainly due to outdated hardware which can not support the current software. This particularly affects clinical staff who feel an IT system, that isn’t fit for purpose, compromises their efficiency, productivity and clinical safety.
Look out for our new Digital Strategy. This sets out our key digital priorities over the next three years and how we will achieve our objectives. This is in line with our organisational objectives and cultural pillars. Our Strategy is based around a quality framework connected to the following digital principles:
Keeping our patients and staff safe in our clinical areas and in cyberspace
Promoting a good quality of life based on the best evidence from our clinical systems Empowering our staff to use technology to provide compassionate, dignified and respectable care Ensuring that our IT infrastructure and services are responsive and meet staff and patient needs Supporting our Well Led organisation to make better use of data and information.
