“It is fantastic to hear of the work of the staff wellbeing hub ‘Here for You’ and of how it is supporting the psychological wellbeing needs of NHS, Social Care and Care Home workforce with a free and confidential service delivering a proactive outreach service by providing rapid clinical assessment and care co-ordination/supported onwards referral to treatment.
We are all aware of the continuing emotional pressures facing us due to the pandemic as well as the day-to-day life challenges, stresses and life events we all experience at times. Over the past year, ‘Here for You’ have been responsive to the emotional and wellbeing needs of the workforce standing up many different wellbeing interventions/webinars to support with current challenges we have seen in society, not just with the pandemic but a number of situations, most currently the terrible impact of the war/global conflict. These offers have brought people together in a safe space to share and process their feelings and support each other in these times. This is alongside the individual and group support the Hubs offer. We know the impact of all of this has a collective sense of we are not alone in our struggles and has helped people to continue with the activities which are important to them, staying in work for example.
‘Here for You’ are continuing to offer psychological wellbeing support to those living in Hertfordshire and Essex. It is invaluable to recognise local hero(es) that have gone above and beyond to support the psychological wellbeing of staff and the Regional Mental Health at NHS England are pleased support the ‘Here for You Heroes’ campaign.
