Pantry Essentials

Cooking is easy when you have the right tools and ingredients. We recommend build-
ing up your kitchen and pantry little by little. Each time you go to the market pick up something new from our pantry essentials list. You will see a huge di erence when you have a stocked pantry with key ingredients and the right tools you need.
I also like to keep my freezer stocked with essentials. I usually make a run to my local food warehouse store once a month to buy items in bulk like meat, poultry, sh and cheese. I portion each item into ziplock bags and pop them in the freezer with the date. A pound of meat usually goes pretty far for a family of four. If you have a big- ger family you can portion out how much your family eats in one sitting and if you like leftovers, then account for that as well. Using this plan can reduce your grocery budget. You can also stock up when you see an item like ground beef on sale at the supermarket. Most items last up to six months in the freezer, stored air tight.
Tool Essentials
Kitchen tools are essential for cooking. My rule of thumb is to invest in higher quality items such as knives and pans rather than getting the most expensive peeler or grater. Spend more on the items you use everyday. You can check out our recommendations for tools on our YouTube channel, Meg Coral.
