is pretty remarkable, considering that these are

doable numbers. A person could start with

$10,000. A person could leave it there. And a
person could contribute $333 per month and let

the time pass and do the work. That is pretty

             remarkable.
Of course, getting an 18 percent return

could be a challenge. While we give these examples

as illustrations of what could happen, keep in
mind that people have done that well (including the

author) and better. It helps a great deal if you are

a student of investing and read and learn about
investing. There are lots of good sources that you

can find in your public library or online or you

could subscribe to. Investor’s Business Daily (IBD)
is an example of one fine source of information.

Investors Business Daily is now a WEEKLY
publication and an on line publication. Fidelity has

a website that offers excellent information and is a

fine company to invest with as well. There are lots
of other excellent sources and mutual fund

companies to invest with. Some are Vanguard,

American Funds, T. Rowe Price and many others.
Here is another example of why tax-

protected plans (also called tax-qualified plans) are
                                                                      95
