   A new beginning...
A view from the Nords' new home Eric Nord
A familiar face around King of Glory will be starting a new chapter of his life soon. You may have seen Eric Nord singing in the choir, serving as a cantor, or reading Scripture in worship. This summer Eric and his wife, Sue, will relocate to Phillipsburg, MT where they are building a home. Here are a few of Eric's reflections on his time at KOG and the upcoming move.

What is bringing you to Phillipsburg?
Some of Sue's favorite experiences from childhood happened during her summers spent with grandparents in Phillipsburg. When Sue and I were thinking about where we wanted to retire, this was the beautiful spot that kept coming to mind.
But haven't you always called Billings home?
No. I grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota and Sue and I met at Carleton College. We moved east to further our studies, Sue went to grad school at Boston College and I got my Law degree from Boston University. After Law School, we spent twelve years in New Hampshire, but moved to Billings in 2002 to be close to Sue's parents and grandparents.
Will you continue to work after you move?
Yes! I practice business law and am a partner at Crist, Krogh, Alke & Nord, PLLC. I also serve on some non-profit boards. I plan to return to Billings several times a month. You can't get rid of me that easily.
Why has KOG been the church you've called home?
We landed at KOG because the faith community felt like a good fit. I stayed because at various points people invited me into their lives, relationships formed, and my faith was constantly being renewed. I've always appreciated how KOG is not stifling one's spiritual growth, but allows people to go where their passion leads. I've found that KOG invites people to use their talents and to grow, recognizing that everyone is on their own journey. Or as I said at the Annual Meeting, “I’ve been loved here. I have always felt welcomed in your presence. We will miss KOG. I will be back!”
Where are your kids these days?
Our son, Alexander, is in Missoula, finishing his PhD in computational biology. Our daughter, Arianna, is in Seattle, practicing family law.
You can see Eric and the rest of the KOG Choir in the Easter Cantata, "Out of the Shadows." It will be performed on Palm Sunday, April 2, at 7pm in the KOG sanctuary.
