Introduction

This is the introductory commentary for a series of short

cases (see: Short cases the Banks;

on the banking industry presented in two interactive,

multimedia formats. It attempts to set the scene for the

examination of six case studies of some of the major high

street banks that have been fined for their actions and

conduct during the period from the financial crisis of 2008

up until mid-2018.
