In 2017 HSBC had a revenue of $51.445 billion and a net
income of some $11.879 billion and employed 228, 687
people in 3,900 offices, operating in 67 countries.
HSBC is organised within four business groups:
• Commercial Banking;
• Global Banking and Markets (investment banking);
• Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and
• Global Private Banking,
and is listed on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and
the London Stock Exchange.
