Blackthorn realised he was firmly on the horns of a



               dilemma. A dilemma which challenged the very survival of



               the company. Moreover, where he had been trying to




               change the culture of Phissons with a move away from the



               traditional transactional command-and control to a more




               transformational one where the focus of attention was on



               work on culture where people are brought with him,




               instilling pride in the mission of the enterprise, and



               delivering benefits to the societies from which they interact.
