It seemed logical therefore, to test the efficacy of the claims

and quality standards made in the site by submitting an
unpublished case study to the site with its accompanying

questions and then juxtapose the answer received with the

one we had developed. The case study chosen for this

comparison was Tyrrells Chips as yet unpublished but
scheduled to be submitted to the efmd in August 2017 and

the Case Centre thereafter.

The ‘Welcome message’ for caseforest.com (Diagram 1)

makes a number of points such as why students resort to

paid for case solutions e.g.

• Case study contains large number of pages

• Not able to devote enough time from their busy

schedule to solve a case study

• Case study requiring higher level of understanding

The first two elements in this list although important in their

own right and worthy of examination nevertheless, the
focus of this study is on the third and it is here that we will

concentrate.

The remaining paragraphs claim that the site provides all

the MBA student needs for their MBA coursework and

assessment.
