Case Study Exams

In the last decade or more the duration of class contact on

courses has declined. Where in the past a course could
cover a year or two years today class contact is likely to be

around twelve weeks. Furthermore, as a consequence of

this diminution in class contact there has been a
corresponding diminution in coursework requirements.

Coursework is less likely to be based on the traditional two

to three essays of 3,000 words and more likely to be two
pieces of work of 1,000 to 1,500 words or some other form

of assessment such as multiple choice etc.
