Moreover, web advertisers know which ads are seen as digital
media gives greater information on who read it, how long they
looked at it, where they were from etc. But simply putting
more ads on a newspaper web site - just annoys people.

Ad blockers are free programmes that block ads on a web
page essentially turning them off and allowing a better quality
reading experience. It has been estimated that ad blocking will
cost the industry $22bn in 2015
