A library card can be used at the Boulder City Library, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, North Las Vegas Library District and Henderson District Public Libraries. There is an interlibrary loan service available. Available resources include regular print books, audio books, large print books, electronic books, music, periodicals, DVDs, references and activities. The library has computers for use, wireless internet and a copy machine. There is a Childrens’ Department with story time, a Young Peoples’ Library, and a Nevada history room. There is a Community Room for meetings.

Outdoor venues are o ered at the Adams Boulevard Community Park Amphitheater. It is designed to promote and furnish a setting for recreational, educational, artistic, social and athletic events. It is owned by the Boulder City Library District and managed by the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department.
Municipal ownership and an advantageous location near Hoover Dam, one of the world’s largest hydroelectric power plants, o er the community comparatively low utility rates. Combined billing includes water, trash, sewage disposal and electricity with an average monthly cost of $172.37.

Media
The city has one weekly newspaper, The Boulder City Review. There is one daily newspaper, The Las Vegas Review-Journal. There are local TV stations, as well as local cable/satellite TV providers. Residents have access to local radio stations.
