message from
Bp. PRINCE ANTONY
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ,
Greetings from the Syro-Malabar Major Archiepiscopal Commission for Evangelization
and Pastoral Care of the Migrants at Mount St. Thomas, Kakkanad!
It is heartening to hear that the Syro-Malabar faithful in Kuwait is organizing a Christmas
– New Year celebration under the leadership of SMCA. As we celebrate these two great
events - Christmas and New Year, I am reminded of the unique significance of these events
in our faith. This time is filled with anticipation, joy, and reflection on the birth of Jesus and
the new beginnings that come with the turning of the year.
As we prepare to commemorate the birth of our Savior, let us remember the profound love
and humility that Jesus brought into the world. His birth in a humble stable, surrounded by
shepherds and angels, is a reminder that God’s love is for everyone, regardless of status or
position. It is a call for us to embrace humility, kindness, and compassion in our daily lives.
The New Year offers us an opportunity to reflect on our past and set intentions for the future.
It is a time to renew our commitment to our faith, to our families, and to our community. I
encourage you to take this time to pray, seek guidance from the Holy Spirit, and set goals
that align with our Christian values. Let us also remember those who are less fortunate and
extend a hand of friendship and support to those in need.
I appreciate SMCA for taking this initiative and creating such wonderful opportunities for
fellowship and faith-building.
Wish you all a blessed Christmas and a joyous New Year.
May the Babe of Bethlehem bless you all.
Yours lovingly,
+ Bp Prince Antony Panengadan
