         ACCESS Scholarship semifinalists named;


         Banquet is March 10 at Hormel Historic Home



            Semifinalists for 2018-19 ACCESS Scholarships have been   32 Anniversary Year

         selected by the Business Education Committee of the Austin Area   1988-2019
         Chamber of Commerce. Twelve 8th grade students and eight high
         school seniors qualified for the second round of the process,
         which includes face-to-face interviews with committee members.
            Nearly 50 student applications were received. Semifinalists   ACCESS
         were chosen after a review of their applications and essay ques-
         tions by committee members.                               Scholarship
            This year’s 8th grade semifinalists include Emmaline Bell,
         Mattiqa Gasca, Arianna Barrera, Chloe Jenkins, Mya Walters,
         Gabriel Monterroza, Asia Moore, Nathan Schmidt, Andrew
         Keenan, Ava Wahlstrom, Thomas Herrick, and Emma Haugen.   Union; Austin Daily Herald; Austin Ford Chrysler;
            Twelfth grade semifinalists are Signe Fadness, Abigail Bol-  Bollingberg Chiropractic; Bremer Bank; CLA, LLP; Diamond
         lingberg, Myra Kraemer, Brockdon Lawhead, Morgan Hose,    Ridge Printing; Family Eye Care Center; Fawver Agency; First
         Sarah Bachmeier, Eleanor Hinchcliffe, and Kayla Christopherson.   Farmers and Merchants Bank; Games People Play; Greg Meyer
            Eighth grade students meet with committee members for their   State Farm Insurance; Heartman Insurance; Hill, Larson & Walth,
         interviews, Jan. 22; seniors on Jan. 23. Final presentations are   P.A.; Home Federal Savings Bank; Hormel Foods Corporation;
