Mr John Harvey, BSc(Hons), M.I.E, MBS,
MSC(ECON), CMILT, MIEI
During 40 years in Irish Rail, John was Senior Engineer, Manager Special Projects/Intercity Accounts. He managed railway projects including railcar and carriage acquisitions, computerised timetable, ticketing equipment, entry/exit gates, smart cards, Y2K and Euro changeover.
He currently lectures on railway technology and operations in DIT.
Mr Mark Delaney CMILT
Mark worked in retail for 17 years. He then went into logistics operations management and worked for 11 years with the Musgrave Group. He is currently working with BWG Foods (who own the Spar, Eurospar, XL and Mace brands) in their National Distribution Centre at Kilcarbery, Dublin.

Mr Richard Butler, BSc (Hons), MSc SCM, CMILT
Chairman of the Eastern Section Committee
Richard is a graduate of Transport Operations and Technology from DIT and also holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management. Richard has been a member of the CILT National Council since 2013, and has a keen interest in the CILT Young Professionals group. Richard has a personal interest in shipping
and he has completed a number of assignments working with major companies in order to improve business processes and to highlight and resolve supply chain issues.
Mr Robert Ryan, BSc. (Hons), MILT, Tech IEI
Vice Chair Eastern Section
Robert has several years’ experience working in industry with the DAA, Dublin City Council and presently as a HVM with Dublin Bus. He is a Transport Representative with Dublin Civil Defence & is on their Specialist Transport Unit.
He is serving on the Young Professionals Group, and the Education Committee with the Institute.
Ms Gráinne Lynch CMILT
Chair of the Southern Section Committee
Gráinne is an engineer, an educator and a consultant devoted to supply chain and logistics innovation. Gráinne holds a BSc in Computer Networking, an MEng in Electronic Engineering, and a Diploma
in Management. She is also a member of the Project Management Institute. Gráinne is currently responsible
for deploying Track & Trace in the pharmaceutical sector. She lectures
in the National Maritime College of Ireland/Cork Institute of Technology as part of the Transport and Supply Chain Management degree.

Mr Kevin Byrne FCILT

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Byrne was formerly the Air Corps’ Senior Staff Officer for Logistics for almost seven years. He was based at Baldonnel
in County Dublin, and through management of the aircraft component of the Annual Defence Estimates he controlled the supply of the necessary spares, components, fuel and ancillary services. He has served overseas on three occasions, most recently in the Sudan. Currently Kevin is employed in Coventry University as a senior lecturer on the Aviation Management course.
Mr Finbarr Cleary FCILT
Former President and International Vice-President
Finbarr Cleary has worked in the transport and freight forwarding industry for over 30 years. He has served on the Council since 2006 and represented
CILTI on the Transportation and Traffic Strategic Policy Committee of Dublin City Council. He is a past president of the Irish International Freight Association for 2007/2008/2009.
