 CILT Joins Skillnets
Earlier this year, CILT Ireland successfully joined the Skillnets training network in Ireland.
Skillnets training networks are groups of private sector businesses based in Ireland – in the same sector and/or region – that have come together to carry out training-related activities that may not have been possible without the support of a coordinated network.
CILT and its employees will be directly involved in the identification, design, delivery and evaluation of the training.
Being part of a Skillnets network will help CILT to grow. It will lead the Institute to valuable networking opportunities with other enter- prises in the industry. The Skillnets network will allow our members and non-members to benefit from training that is relevant in the logistics, transport and supply chain sector. It will also help enhance the sector brand both nationally and internationally, as well as help consolidate industry governance.
CILT hope to launch a series of Continuous Professional Develop- ment (CPD) programmes in conjunction with Skillnets later this month. Communications on updates will be made to members via email and will be posted on the CILT website.
Also, CILT Ireland is proud to announce that we have been awarded ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Certification. Although there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001 we are one of the first to be awarded with ISO 9001:2015, and we are delighted that our efforts have paid off in receiving such certification.
ISO 9001:2015 addresses various aspects of quality management and contains some of ISO’s best known standards. The standards provide guidance and tools for us to ensure that our services are consistently meeting customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved. The standard is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the mo- tivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
