HIPAA Standard for Dental Procedures
▪ Intellectual Property Rights of the Code Belong to the ADA
▪ If the Government Starts Requiring Additional Analytical Information, They
Could Authorize a Separate Code Set to Be Used in Addition to the CDT
▪ CDT Could Also Be Considered ‘Archaic’ by the Federal Agencies…Again A
Separate Code Set Would Be Authorized….SNOMED/SNODENT/ Other?
