The Ādam Paradox Hypothesis 158
The Fifteen Loci as an Engineered Network
While each locus could be studied in isolation, their true significance is their
interdependence. Together, they form an engineered suite — a cognitive
architecture beyond probability:
Table 14.1 — The Fifteen Engineered Loci: Installed capacities awaiting threshold ignition.
14.2.2 The Fifteen Loci of Engineering
FOXP2 — The Silent Speech Circuit (~200 ka)
FOXP2 regulates motor control and syntax. Its selective sweep ~200 ka
distinguishes Homo sapiens from Neanderthals (Enard et al., 2002). Yet for
100,000 years afterward, symbolic culture was absent.
Evolutionary gap: speech circuitry without speech culture.
APH view: FOXP2 was installed but activated fully only at the threshold —
aligning with “He taught Adam the names” (Q 2:31).
HAR1 — The Cortical Blueprint (~300 ka)
HAR1, a regulatory RNA, mutates rapidly in humans and directs cortical folding
during fetal development (Pollard et al., 2006). Fixed by ~300 ka, it shaped
human brains long before symbolic evidence appears.
Evolutionary gap: blueprint drawn but unused.
APH view: HAR1 prepared the cortical architecture, later infused with
spirit (Q 32:9).
