Predictions You Can Check Now
Like Darwin’s fossils and Einstein’s starlight, bold predictions anchor truth in testable
ground.
Darwin wrote: “If my theory be true, numberless intermediate varieties must assuredly have
existed.
” His prediction was bold: if fossils of intermediates were never found,
natural selection was wrong. Einstein likewise predicted: “If the bending of light by
gravity is not observed, my theory is untenable.
” Predictions are the heartbeat of
science.
The Adam Paradox Hypothesis (APH) must do the same. Its credibility
depends on bold, testable predictions in genetics, archaeology, and demography.
1. Genomic Predictions
Selective Sweeps in Regulatory Regions (~70kya).
APH predicts not just coding mutations but regulatory fine-tuning—
changes in how genes are switched on/off—that appear around 70,000
years ago.
Candidate loci: FOXP2 introns (speech circuits), HAR1 enhancers
(cortical layering), SRGAP2C duplications(neocortical stability).
Mathematical Test: Fixation time for a beneficial regulatory change can
be estimated as:
For Ne ~5000 and selection strength s ~0.05, fixation occurs in ~60,000 years.
