Re: St. Louis Community College Transportation Building Qualifications
Dear Mr. Espy,
FGM Architects (FGMA) is pleased to submit our qualifications to partner with St. Louis Community
College on the proposed Transportation Building. We are proud to be an IDIQ partner to the college
and look forward to the opportunity to support the college in this effort that will promote growth for the
College.
Each year, St. Louis Community College provides students with a high-quality, affordable education
that prepares them for further learning, productive careers, and a firm path to upward mobility. We
understand that St. Louis Community College needs to expand its automotive technology, diesel
technology and CDL-A Professional Truck Driving programs on the Forest Park campus to meet the
demands of students and accommodate additional students interested in this career path.
Embarking on this project is very timely, as careers in transportation are growing rapidly. FGMA has
worked on dozens of projects in recent years helping community colleges support the influx of students
who desire a path of technical, hands-on education like those offered at St. Louis Community College.
These programs connect students to the workforce and industry at large with real world training and
experience.
Our qualifications offer a design team that brings creativity, technical expertise, and foremost a deep
understanding of today’s community college student needs along with an understanding of the need for
flexibility for the future. Research backed solutions and a desire to fully understand the unique needs of
students, faculty and staff and ways in which spaces are used, lead to finding the best design solutions.
We bring a collaborative approach in which we truly engage stakeholders, along with a deep portfolio of
similar projects. For the Transportation Building project, we have identified our architectural team, and
we will work with the College to select engineering consultants.
We Build Community. It as an honor to serve an institution such as St. Louis Community College though
the creation of spaces that further your mission of being a student-centered educational community.
On behalf of FGMA, thank you for the opportunity to submit our qualifications. We welcome your review
of our qualifications and look forward to meeting with you to further discuss our approach to meeting
the needs of St. Louis Community College. Please contact us if you have any questions or need any
additional information.
