f. FGMA Field Leadership:
i. Celeste Karier was appointed At Large Board Member of the MWGL Region
Chicagoland Chapter, of A4LE. Congratulations Celeste!
g. Awards:
i. Sherlock Elementary School, School District 99, won the 2022 Chicago Building
Congress Merit Award in May of 2022
ii. Prairie Trails school achieved PHIUS+ 2018 & Source Zero Certification in February
2022. Prairie Trails is the nation’s first net-zero energy renovated school that also
meets the PHIUS+ Source Zero
iii. The Prairie Trails Playground won the Illinois American Society of Landscape
Architects (ASLA) Merit Award as an excellent example of how diverse the profession
is and how landscape architecture positively impacts everyday interactions with the
surrounding environment. The playground was designed by Terra Engineering.

thought leadership
1. Glenview SD 34
a. Glenview SD 34 is in the midst of a multi-year initiative to transform its learning spaces
in support of a new student-centered learning pedagogy. There seems to be an
interest in the PK12 marketplace to transition to this new pedagogy and FGMA is
uniquely positioned to assist school districts with the transformation process.
2. River Trails SD 26
a. Our client, School District 26, was one of 20 Illinois school districts that submitted a
joint concept paper for a Department of Energy grant that would fund microgrids for
