INDUSTRY BENCHMARKS & TRENDS
Most key industry indicators have shown slight improvement yet have not
rebounded to pre-recession strength. Cautious optimism is the theme for 2017
with success heavily dependent upon business development challenges:
increasing competition and constraints on available time. The Seller/Doer model
is still in play, but may need some tweaking as Principal time is at a premium.
Project management performance will continue to be challenged as PMs
grapple with accurate forecasting, collaboration and communication, and of
course, staying on or below budget.
The following table displays key metrics from the 2016 Deltek Clarity Survey and
how FGM stacks up with other Architectural firms.
