That experience in fabric dyeing gave me a much
needed understanding of how the color wheel
works and what happens when you mix different
colors.
However, after I’d learned the theory behind the
practical experience I’d had with colors as a
young girl, something happened.
I started doubting my inner color sense. It didn’t
line up exactly with the rules I’d recently learned.
So for years after that, I hid my inner color sense
and only did what I thought was the “right way” to
use color.
