The Digital Exhibition
One Red Thread 2019 first prize
Berry Textile Art Prize & Exhibition was
unveiled on the 17 & 18 August 2019 at the Ber-
ry Quilting Retreat in Berry NSW.
“FractuRED” was the theme and each year the
word RED appears in the theme for the
collection. Curated by Elizabeth Dubbelde
One Red Thread is open to fibre, thread and
textile artists and is a non-acquisitive competition Kerry Douglas - Jennifer Corkish -
and exhibition that accepts “Breaking Rank” “FractuRed Society”
entries representing any use of fibre, threads and
textiles and encourages the artist to explore
traditional and non-traditional practices.
The focus of this prize and exhibition is Colour,
Composition, Creativity and Craftsmanship
Textiles encompasses fibre, thread, stitching,
quilting, embroidery and includes fabric, fibre,
felt, wool, wire, paper, even metal.
“FractuRED” the interpretation was up to the
artists that entered the size is 30cm x 50cm and
3D enteries are welcome with specific rules for
the travel for 3D works.
The Prize awards are:
First Prize $300 sponsored by The Grange at
Berry
Second Prize $200 sponsored by Manildra Group
Third Prize $100 sponsored by Ali George.
