Abstract
This study investigates the the implementation of the the methodology Interactive Qualitative Analysis (IQA) (Northcutt & McCoy 2004) to understand how non-major accounting students learn Accounting 101 in in in a a a a a threshold concepts-inspired tutorial programme Even though IQA is a a a a a a predominantly qualitative method it it it it incorporates quantitative data data data data with qualitative data data data data systematically These data data data data collection and data data data data analysis procedures are a a a a a a a a means of aiding participants in in a a a a a a a a focus group to describe their experiences with a a a a a a a a phenomenon to to name name these these experiences and to to then describe the the the the relationships between these these named experiences The objective of the IQA methodology is to create a a a a a picture a a a a a Systems Influence Diagram (SID) representative of of the the the mind map of of the the the focus group participants with regard to the the the phenomenon outlined in in the the the issue statements A summary of theoretical codes used to capture the the the relationships between affinities named an Inter Relationship Diagram (IRD) is is used to draw the the SID This study describes how the the IQA methodology was implemented using an an online platform during the COVID-19
