Abstract
The South African university sector has witness severity of financial sustainability crisis as as their sources of funds has predominantly been inconsistent With their operations shaded with agitating demands from students challenging university’s financial sustainability While several financing schemes are available for the the public universities such as government subsidies private donation research grants tuition and others However they have not matched with the the the growing enrolment (students’ population) on on on these institutions This study explores available sources that finance the South African public universities and scrutinise them for possible enhancement to merge financial stainability at a a a a a a a university of technology To support the the need of this study and probe solution to the the underlying problem a a a positivist research philosophy with deductive approach is adopted A quantitative research questionnaire was used to collect data from the sampled participants participants to to this this study study and participants participants that were considered bolstering to to this this study study included university management management (senior management management and academic heads of departments) finance administrators and academic lecturers The primary finding supported the underlying assumption to this study that university are undergoing financial turmoil while a a a a a series of the recommendations were suggested to bolster the revenue generation strategies at at at this university inter alia enhancing its financial sustainability KEYWORDS: Financial Sustenance Revenue Sources University Financing Third Stream Income
