6.2. Career Personalities Quiz
Do this self-assessment quiz as a guide for yourself as to what your working personality might be, and what types of careers and programmes of study might suit you. Answer the questions as honestly as you can. It is not a test and there are no wrong answers. For each pair of questions, choose the one that best describes you, and circle the letter of your choice, like this:

(A) Do you prefer mealie meal for breakfast? OR (B) Do you prefer bread for breakfast?
Now answer the following questions:
1 (C) Do you usually make decisions to get the right end result? OR (D) Do you usually make decisions to make other people happy?
2 (C) Is it more important to be fair in your dealings with people? OR (D) Is it more important to be caring in your dealings with people?
3 (C) Is it more important to try to solve a person’s problem? OR (D) Is it more important to comfort the person who has a problem?
4 (C) Would you prefer to work where you have to think clearly? OR (D) Would you prefer to work where you look after people and their needs?
5 (C) Is it more important to work in a place where you will get a lot of work done? OR (D) Is it more important to work in a place where people get along well together?
Now total up your Cs and Ds for the five questions.
