Table 6 reflects a slight decrease in total research outputs to 1057,25 units in 2023. Although not shown in Table 6, the grand total of the 2022 research output approved by DHET includes 1,5 units awarded for Creative Research Outputs. There was strong growth in weighted doctorates, from 234 in 2021 to 294 in 2022, for 2023 there was a decrease. The number of master’s outputs increased from 187,50 in 2021 to 203,50 in 2022, while 2023 reflected a decrease in master’s outputs. While the university continues to provide support to students, the number of graduates completing in minimum time is subject to many factors.
