Professor Sanja Bauk

Sanja Bauk is a Professor at Maritime Studies. She lectures Electronic Navigation and Information Systems, Logistics and Research Methodology. In 2021, she published four books as an author and co-editor.
One of the books that she co-edited, which is published by Springer, is the proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Maritime Education and Development which she organised at Durban University of Technology in 2020.During the past academic year,she also published two journal papers, four conference papers and gave four oral presentations at international symposiums. She supervises three PhD and one Masters student. One
of her international PhD students submitted his dissertation for evaluation. Prof Bauk established collaboration with Hunter College, CUNY (USA) and accomplished project on “Concepts of American and South African Cultural Identities” with the American peers. This project combined Slack, YouTube and Perusall, and unleashed involved students’ and lecturers’ creative and critical thinking potentials.
