Ms Sapna Ramdin

Sapna Ramdin is a third year doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Durban University of Technology.
She is under the supervision of Dr. Nalini Govender (DUT) and Prof Thajasvarie Naicker (UKZN). Her research interests lie in the study of hypertensive diseases of pregnancy with a focus on preeclampsia. Her doctoral work explores renal injury in an arginine vasopressin induced rat model of preeclampsia. She holds a Master of Medical
Science degree in Medical Biochemistry, a Bachelor of Medical Science Honours degree in Medical Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research is supported by the National Research Foundation.
