  Professor Sibusiso Moyo is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies at Stellenbosch University and Adjunct Professor at Durban University of Technology. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Natal (now UKZN) and a masters degree
in Tertiary Education Management from the LH Martin Institute at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Her previous positions at DUT include Director of Research and Postgraduate Support and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. She has been guest editor of a number of mathematical sciences journals published by Springer-Verlag. Currently, she serves on the editorial board for the Taylor & Francis Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management). She is a two-time recipient of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Entrepreneurial Development in Higher Education leadership award (2019 and 2021), and was instrumental in the establishment of the Innobiz, DUT’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
  Professor Keolebogile Motaung is a full Professor, Biomedical Scientist and Acting DVC: Research, Innovation & Engagement at the Durban University of Technology with more than 24 years’ experience in Higher Education. Professor Keolebogile Motaung is a well-established scientist with international recognition in her field of stem cells, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. She has published extensively in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Prof. Motaung is passionate about capacity building, has successfully supervised postgraduate students, and continues mentoring emerging researchers. She is a passionate about science, technology, entrepreneurship and commercialisation, often assisting the DSI in
redefining international relations for women in STEM research. Based on her own scientific exploration into the use of medicinal plants in tissue engineering of bone and cartilage, she founded a company called Global Health Biotech (PTY) Ltd in 2016.
